Klaas van der WielenNot only do you need a kitbash to build a Troopship, but there are some basic flaws in the Airfix kit, also for a Friendship. Still this kit is the best you can get in this scale. Luckily I like bashing!

Klaas van der WielenLukasz: According to IPMS Netherlands the ESCI kit is a disaster. You recognize an F-27, but dimensions and shapes are tragically wrong. You'd be better of with an Airfix one.

Gordon SørensenGreat start, Klaas! My F-27 is progressing slowly. I like how you did the exhaust. I just hollowed the kit piece and painted black where it mounted on the nacelle.

Klaas van der WielenA very large one. In it is a passengerdoor. The doors in the fuselage of the kit are at the wrong place and of the wrong size, so I sanded them smooth, as I did with the whole kit, because of the raised detailing.
So I'll have to engrave what I want engraved, like the doors. And put a rim above them, against the rain.

I'm using the 1/72 Airfix Fokker Friendship as a basis for my F-27 300M Troopship.
It will be represented as the C-10, as it resides now at the Nationaal Militair Museum (Dutch Military Museum) at Soesterberg.
