Managed to get the wings together and the inside parts ground down so the fuselage would fit. Totally my screw-up - I should know better than to trust those alignment pins on these ancient Revell kits!!
It may be for just a fun 'What-If' Group Build but it would have drove me nuts to put it together Out of the Box with the open Nose Wheel Well like that!! LOL
Woot! Woot! Finally got some primer on this build. Woke up to a nice, no-wind day and thought I had better get my butt movin' an' take advantage. We don't get too many no-wind days in these parts! LOL Used Krylon 2'n1.
Since the one-piece canopy was busted up I was just going to glue what was left and put a tarp over it. I found an extra Revell canopy so I will use that but I am replacing the pilots with slightly better ones, though they both had to have their feet amputated to fit onto the Revell lazy-boy seats! ????

Working this for the Facebook 'What-If' Page "Cold War Era Flip" - though the Soviet Union DID get several MD F-4 Phantom II's from various sources I don't know for certain if any were tested comprehensively like the U.S. did with the 'Have Drill' program.
