And away we go! The inventory for this project. Wait, what another Hawk from AZ after the P-36 horror? You gotta be kidding me🤣

Welcome Łukasz! Taking into accout that my builds are very sluggish due to work and family i thought i might as well use whats up there to beef it up, similar to the P-36. It won't prolong the build too much, maybe 6 months or so 😜

Just looked thru my stash on here - currently with my build speed I would need some 300 years of additional lifespan to get all done 🤣

Added additional aftermarket to the project. Used the resin control stick from special hobby in the project and did attach all elements to the floor before priming. Did also sand the seat away from it's resin stubs.

Cleaned up some parts, assembled the front radiator and cut holes for the casing ejectors.

Used the Part PE set today. Some sanding required yo fot with 600 grit as this set is universal for the scale.

Cockpit and other internals painted - fuselage is ready for assemby. Added some wiring and placards decals to the cockpit. I am satisfied how it came out.

Well done so far, Patryk 👍
You have to tell us if the fit of the motor part is better in this one than in the previous one you did 😉

Thank you. This time it's a smaller problem as only the coolant and oil radiator intake needs some thinnig down from the side where the other fuselage half will be attached - no major surgery needed or at least I hope so😜

I assembled the fuselage and attached the lower part of the wing to the fuselage. After dry fitting I realised also what mistake I did with the az model P-36 as it is now obvious to me that the P-40E kit was the base for the P-36 kit, as the fit of the fuselage and many small parts is identical on both kits with the misfitting of the rudder included. If tackling both kits first you need to glue the lower half of the wing to the fuselage and then the upper halves after considerable dry fitting and trimming. This will allow to get the angle of the wings correct. This is correctly shown in the instruction. I didn't stick to them with the P-36 and got the wrong angles. Dry fitted one of the upper wing halves. It needed considerable trimming of the leading edges and the landing gear whels sidewalls to get a correct fit.

Attached the upper wing halves. The leading edges will stay thick no matter how much you sand or shim the plastic of the wing. Fit was terrible, I filled the gaps between the wings and fuselage with pattex super glue and cut the guns as the plane i want to depict had them removed. Now many hours of sanding await.
