Hello kormoras, yes, that's the plan. The fuselage will receive a coat of white primer after filling the various small gaps and will then be finished with satin gloss signal blue.

Hello Christian, thanks for your reply! Watched your album about building the Bearcat in 1:32, impressive work. And I´m also jealous, having a real Bearcat "in the family" must be fantastic! 1:32 is far away from my skills at the moment, but I´m aiming to build a 1:48 Bearcat soon.

Thank you Soeren! Yes, this was a real bargain at my favorite online store. I have another Bearcat in stock, but it´s a 1:48. Very excited about that kit, will be my first one from Hobby Boss.

I remember playing Sierras Aces of the Pacific with the 1946 expansion disks. The Bearcat was my favorite plane to play, next to the Tigercat (which I also have in my stash).😉

I play this one quite often in War Thunder and yeah the Tigercat is also really nice and we need here also a new tooled kit soooon😉

My kit from Italeri looks quite good. Also excited about that one. When comparing the fuselage sizes, I realized for the first time, how big a Tigercat is compared to other fighters. Hope to start building on that one soon.

Yes, it´s the 1:48. Haven´t found one in 1:72 yet.

Monogram/Revell has one in 72 but they are not really great - in my opinion.

First signalblue coating ist applied, but then my airbrushgun broke down...buy cheap, buy twice. Now I have to wait for my new gun, to complete the coating. 🙁

Das stimmt! Hatte am Anfang auch nur das Starter Set von Revell und bin dann sehr schnell auf die Evo umgestiegen. 🙂

War bei mir noch schlimmer, chinesische Kopien aus einem Komplettset...hab mir jetzt auch ne Evo bestellt, morgen gehts dann weiter. Das Signalblau macht sich wirklich toll auf dem Flieger.

Ja, freu mich auch schon drauf. Liegt noch Einiges neben der Bearcat rum, was auch Farbe braucht. Von meinem neuen "Großprojekt", dem Tamiya RC Königstiger, ganz zu schweigen.

Ich muss auch "aufräumen". Bei dem guten Wetter kommen die RC Projekte wieder zum Vorschein...deshalb wollte ich gestern zügig die Bearcat und die Bf109 spritzen...nun ja, wir werden sehen. 🙂

Finally! Here she is. Finished after 9 months...quite a beauty, execpt the canopy, where I have to practice a little more.

I also had a great trouble fitting in the canopy. Everything else on this model fits like a glove! Even if it is an old kit, can't wait to buy another one soon 😄
I recommend to use the Dremel tool so you can carve into the fuselage where the canopy should rest. That way you will get a better fit😢

It´s not only the fitting, I also put too much glue onto the canopy what created schlieren.
