Hurricane mk.IIb Dutch east indies

One of the very few pictures of the Hurricane as it just arrived I guess it's a clipped wing version 🙂 

The paint sheme as shown in a couple of sources. 

The Eduard etched cockpit

Basic painting done, and an initial wash to bring out the contrast.

Vokes filter from the spares box, it is a revell part, but not fitting too well  

 

After a bit of filling and sanding it looks ok.
Will put some paint over it to check it. 

 

Managed to get the vokes filter in shape too, it might be used after all  

Glued some lenses from the spares box in the recesses of the landing lights  

Clear part made from overhead sheet.
Not glued in position yet. 

Glued in position with gloss varnish  

Replacement for the broken support for the antenna wire. I cut out a small section and glued a piece of wire in place. Will sand it to shape later  

First wing attached  

Vokes filter was pinched from the Eduard hurristory kit, as well as the plastic wheels from that kit. The vokes filter I had from revell was crooked, and didn't look right.
I guess I will be building at least one bob hurricane in the future 😉

Will leave it to dry for a bit before doing the green

Decided to add the roundels to the underside, to be covered by the orange triangles
