Progress has been slow because my wife and I have been in the middle of buying a new home but it's still happening!

I finished the model and enjoyed putting it together but encountered a few issues.
First, the instructions for the decals are not complete and because of that I missed applying the decorative band around the gas tank. I couldn't add it after realizing its lack of documentation because I had first affixed the wing logo per their instructions which would then have cut off the band. I suppose this is something I should have caught so I take responsibility but just be careful.
Second, I'm not sure why Aoshima didn't metal-coat the rear tire mudguard, the seat, headlight, and the left and right body panels to match the gas tank and front wheel mudguard. From reference photos they seem to be the same color. I managed to find a silver that was a close match but not perfect. Again, I could have just overpainted the parts that they had prepainted but not sure why they didn't just finish the job correctly.
Finally — and here someone more familiar with motorcycles could fill me in — there is only one exhaust pipe but I can't find a photo online of the real bike that doesn't show two exhaust pipes. What's going on here? Even previous versions of this model had two pipes. Any guesses?
I recommend this model. It was fun and I think it looks great. Love that stripped-down look.

Well despite your issues the bike has turned out really nice, love the finish the red frame really works well and blends in nicely to show off the engine
