Messerschmitt BF-109 G6 Suomi Finland

New project. 

Plastic, PE and resin. This will be fun! 

Dry fitting the cockpit. Resin exhaust is also installed. 

Some glue, some paint, some putty, some resin, some photo etch… Moving forward! I´m really enjoying this kit since it is utterly over engineered. The PE pedals are just insane. 

It´s starting to look like an airplane. It need a wee bit of filler and sanding before paint. I spilled a bit of glue on the right wing, but this will be easily fixed with some sanding as soon as the glue has cured. 

 

Most of the build is done. 

I hate spraying yellow, but this time it turned out ok. With yellow paint thinned to a 1:3 ratio it went on nicely over a base coat of white. 

Painting the Finnish camo in 1/72 scale is a pain!  

Painting is basically done. The model has got a coat of clear gloss and the first decals are on. The decals are of good quality. 

 

A little progress. The 109 has gotten her legs and a bit of detail paint. Progress is slow due to ordinary life and paint drying properly between layers. The spinner has got a base coat of white and hopefully I will be able to finish it in black, white and yellow tomorrow.
