Built this a couple years back. I expect yours shall look better. I think the 020 was a real looker with that high nose and the clean livery.

Well, I've started two tubs and on neither of them could I sand out the seam without erasing the little door seams on the nose. Tamiya really screwed that part up. But maybe it won't be as noticeable as I fear it will. I tried rescribing the seams but that was a disaster. But we shall see.

I ended up going with Tamiya's regular gunners instead of the light gunmetal because I just didn't think the light gunmetal looked right. Definitely a long one!

It's always difficult to tell the correct shade via pictures. It's the red hue that is bugging me. The real problem is that I used rattle can light gun metal on the rear panels and they are an entirely different shade than the rest which used LP paint.

Agreed. Shade of color is so tough. And this car in particular seems to photograph very differently based on lighting conditions. I've seen some look very light and some look much darker. Different shades is always frustrating

It's interesting: I did the plastic spoon test of both Tamiya light gun metal and gun metal sprays and the shade of the actual color looked identical but one had more of the sparkly crap in it.....neither had a red hue.

🙂 Its funny you say that. The other side of the tub had a tiny spot of the white and red ripped off when I tried getting out the excess water but I challenge you to spot the patch job I did.

Fantastic work on those long decals. They're a pain. I can't see your patch job. Looks great to me.

I sure hope I can get the nose off without ruining the decals. I hadn't really looked at the instructions to see that the lower suspension goes inside that area......oops.

Cursed Tamiya and their front suspensions! I thought the whole thing snapped on......WRONG.

I'm not sure about the color on the real car even. Lol. I think it looks good
