wow Choppa did you create that yourself ?! looks very accurate.
The 300SLR is my first racing/civil car model, I do planes and military and thought I'd build this one as a 'vacation kit' after the Tamiya Mutt Jeep and because this beautiful car captivated me.
I thought it's going to be an easy build especially with the little details on the body but I was wrong as it took much more time and effort than I thought, the model should of course resemble the perfect shape of the real car and not a single scratch or fingerprint is allowed.
Adding primer and sliver paint layers took 4 days alone, I had to be patient and let the paint take its time to dry and level itself on surfaces, and was very careful with the 1992 decals .. Tamiya Decal Adhesive helped a lot and it sucked the rear 722 decal on the raised details of Mercedes logo and letter 'D' as if the decals was painted.
However, I was pleased with the result! To me it's a milestone in the hobby as I saw myself more capable and daring in modelling than before. Pics of finished model look a bit dim because of artificial bulb light, I will take new pics in natural daylight .. thanks again for checking my album.
