Chi-Nu II in the Mountains

Album info
I finally finished my little diorama/vignette for IBGs Chi-Nu in 1/72 and I am rather happy with it. Working with grass and foliage materials is quite new to me, thus I might improve on my trees and general vegetation a bit 😉
While the tank has a really cool finish, the figures turned out a little more "glossy"" even though I matte-varnished them, but I guess the paint job is acceptable and I actually have some more stuff like this on my agenda now, where I can then improve my skills 🙂
In case anyone is interested, here´s a quick summary of the diorama-build:
1) basic terrain from blocks of packaging-styrofoam encased with balsawood
2) enhancing terrain shapes with a mix of plaster and paper-fibre
3) basic coat of cheap acrylics
4) further improvement of the terrain using acrylic textures, stones etc.
5) painting of the terrain, stones etc. and highlighting details with drybrushing and washes
6) Application of grass and foliage
7) Addition of the trees made from wire coated with acrylic paste and foliage material
