Fiat 500F - 1968

My boss received the kit as a birthday present and asked me to build it as he didn't have the patience. Well, after 20 months I nearly ran out of patience!
My first Italeri and 1/12 kit. It's not my preferred type of car but it's still a classic car which I like.
The build isn't perfect but it looks fine if you don't look to closely! The kit was really detailed and most of it went together really nicely. But other things like the steering box, fitment of the windows, doors, boot, bonnet took ages to get right. Maybe, I've just been too used to Tamiya kits.
I tried a few techniques with the paint and finish - polishing and clear-coating and it didn't come up too bad although I wouldn't choose red again as the number of slightly different shades for the same number of coats was frustrating but maybe it was my technique. I ended up stripping the right hand side door back a number of times to get it to the finish I wanted but you live and learn.
Overall, I'm pleased I've completed it and I'm happy with the finish. I can now go back to my stash which is the most pleasing part.
