Up to my next build.
I choosed this old amt Daytona...because my brother showed me the new revell...and I thought, as I search a long time for the Daytona in 1/25 scale, why not start right now with it?
So, I glued the front in place as good as I could do...without any mounting points. After a day of drying, I sanded all moldlines and of course the un-perfect sitting front.
After that, I made the panellines new.

As you'll see, AMT quality is questionable at best, their trucks are great but the cars are a bit off putting. If given a choice, I personally would take the Revell. But look forward to another great build from you !

Thanks! Of course Bob, if I could choose, I would take the revell too. But I love those challenges 🙂

Daytona nose cone's never fitted properly anyway, those '69 cars were very crude.
Good subject tho, most Mopar nuts dream of a wing car 😉

Thanks mates.
After following your link, Bob, I saw, that the engine bay almost is not painted black. So I changed that.
Also, in the meantime, I finished the red interior and painted the body white.
I'm fine with the result till yet.

Ford is the one that mostly has black engine bays, you'll find that the vast majority of Chrysler products have a body color bay.

Bobs right, he knows it's his shit 😉
Even tho the Wing cars, Daytona &. Superbird, were assembled at an outside plant & heavily modded from the base Chargers & Satellites they all had a body colour engine bay, floorpan & underside of hood.

Fast Forward...now the red decal is done. it was very tricky, becaus it is an old kit...needed a lot of fluid to lay it down.
In the meantime, the engine is done. Made the wiring and fitted water hoses to the cooler from the engine of course (missed in the kit?) and also installed the waterhoses to the heaterbox.

A lot of fine details *thumbs-up* This will be a pretty model kit.

This days, I started assembling and that's just like a homerun . Windows mounted, tube in, chassis on. Glued. So far so good. Nothing happens. No fingertips with glue on the body.
After my holiday I will mount the wheels in "the right" stance.

The red on the white is bright like hell. What a red. In combination with the interior it looks amazing.
