Having spawned a variety of specialist vehicles, T-26 based flamethrower tanks were being designed since the adoption of the first T-26s. Following after the KhT-26, KhT-130 and KhT-133, the final example of the T-26 "chemical tanks" was the KhT-134 based on the base tank´s last major production variant. It retained the standard armament of a DT and the 45mm 45K in the turret and added a flamethrower mounted on the front hull as well as additional armour bolted onto the hull and turret. The vehicle was used in combat around Karelia.
I planned to build Mirage Hobby´s 1/72 offering only replacing the rubber band tracks with UM plastic ones. However, the hull of the Mirage model had some issues, thus I will kitbash it with an UM late T-26 as a basis... this will be an interesting effort...
