U-boot U-107 (IXB Turm I)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Parts count is low, as you might expect from a tiny u-boot. 

Decals are almost invisable. 

Fit is ok, yet filler is needed to smooth the seams and adress some sinkholes 

 

 

 

More sinkholes on the conning tower 

 

Scratch build the fences around the wintergarten and along the hull using insect netting. Probably not true to form, but better than non at all 

This is what I meant with parts not being formed properly. I have now tried to use ca glue to close the gap on the sprue 

Got the rudders and drives in place. The propshafts broke, so I made new ones from brass wire 

Ready for paint 

 

While I had the airbrush out, I gave this a basecoat of grey too ?
