Peugeot 306 Maxi

Decent Kit with one major issue:

fitting of Rearwindow is very Bad.
That is because rearwindow is deformed (maybe sprue was to hot when taken out of mould?).
Tried to bend it in shape By using hairdryer heating it up but failed.
Even 2k epoxy glue could Not hold it in place so gap between rear window and body occured. Filled it with a little smear of valejo-putty.
Managed to Look okay but is still visible if one know where to find it (bummer!). Maybe That problem was only with my Kit...

Managed to cleanly break window of Copilot in two parts. Dont know how this happened (bummer!!). So had to figure out how to solve this problem. Ended up scratchbuilding half opened window from some clear blisterpack and windowframe from Square plasticprofile. Turned out quite good though.

Decals also have some little errors: Monte-Carlo-Plate is dated 1986 (should be 1996) and sponsordecal is misspelled „Peugeot finanement“ (should be Peugeot financement). Used the small decalsheet from decalcas to replace these wrong decals. Overall kitdecals work very well.

Also used window paintmasks from decalcas.

Rest went very straight forward.

Painted in Tamiya Ts-26 directly from the rattlecan. Clear is Zero 2k daimond. Machinepolished finish using Tamiya compounds and Tamiya model-wax.
