looking good, that's why i leave the idler wheel loose, to be able to adjust the tension after mounting. Only minus are the handles from the MG, some slight sanding to open the center would have improved it a lot, especially considering the complete conversion.. Hope you can get rid of the silvering...

I like your ALV - great! The only bad thing are the silvering decals at the sides. There is a trick to prevent this: before dipping the decal into water, you can pierce the clear areas of it with the tip of your knife, so the water and softener can run under the film. this works very good.

An end of era model, this is the replacement for the M548 Tracked Load Carrier (TLC or Tillie). Its one of the "New" stretched M-113AS4 cut down as a ute for logistics support. Its a BlackDog conversion on a Tamiya M-113 hull. Forgive the tracks, I elected to use left over single links, and didn't realise the 2 sets were different, one set didn't fit the drive sprocket and were a little long (with one extra link removed being too short) so track tension on one side is way off (more like a tiger), the other side being a different set fit just right.
Forgotten my loggie C/S so just left it as B Sqn, although it probably should be a chevron rather than the older square for squadron indicator
