Hasegawa 1.72 Kawanishi N1K2 Shidenkai (Violet Lightening)

The more I fiddled with it the more things went wrong. Over done the weathering a bit, guns and aerial mast braking off, repaired. Broke off again. The cockpit and pilot fell into the fuselage. The abortion of a stand. Definitely will be fettling that at a later date. Thank Guinness for West Indies Porter.

Oh and the various applications of Gloss and Satin Varnish changed the hue, subtly (Subtle he say's}
and tone of the paint work. Along with an overexuberance with the oil paint, faded it out more than I cared. 'Where's that bottle of Guinness?' 

But it's built, I enjoyed the build and the initial painting and that's the main thing, the enjoyment. . . . . . . . . . . . And BEER!  

The Eduardaarrgghhh!!!!!! Masks did not fit the panes, so had to fiddle about with masking fluid and tape. It did not end well. . . . . . . . How the Hell did I get masking fluid on my forehead?!?! Anyone say's Beer can go to the back of the room face the wall and hang there head in shame. 

 

 

 

 

Re-done the stand, it's a bit Ruff' but I feel it is a bit of an improvement. 

Put the second radio wire on too.
