Nice going. What are you going to use for the colors? I am still doubting between the hataka lacquer set or the commonly recommended gunze H17/36/332 combination. The hataka set is nice but their beige seems a bit too brown.

Thnx all. I haven't decided about colors yet. I've heard about the Hataka being too brownish, but you can tone it down of course or use another brand.
For now I'm trying to finish my Hawk 75, then I'll get back to the D.XXI.

Thanks for your reply. I did end up ordering the hataka set. Honestly, it's not even half as yellow as the one in soesterberg and when looking at the actual federal standard color it doesn't look too far off. Perhaps I'll do a small spray or brush test and I'll share what I think about it. I'm not a historian in that regard, though.

The one in Soesterberg has a sandy colour. It should really be more of a beige. I always try to get as close to the official colour as I can. Since I usually weather it, I don't care about the exact 'true' colour. Nobody can produce an original colour from 70 years ago, so why bother.

I expect to continue the build in a few weeks. @Wim: it's a resin kit. My first all resin kit.
