Nice project Dan. Looking good. How is the kit?

The kit is ok. Flash and fit interesting at points. The nose is interesting not the greatest. Was going to do the engine. But, started building and then gave up as the parts just did not fit with mismolds etc. I have recently built the new P-40 and had similar problems. It could be a stunner just Airfix do not quite have the quality control that their rivals do. 7/10.

Looking great so far. Disappointing to hear about the issues with the kit. Airfix has had some interesting recent releases.

Well black based and sprayed the underside and it is not looking that bad. Noticed some seems I have missed ut hey ho!

I put oils on before decals. Like a moron! Decals peeled off so I wanted to smash up. So will strip them another day. Complete idiot!

too bad! So the plan is to strip the decals and apply a coat of gloss coat over the oils? .. and then decals again?
Would be a shame to trash the nice work
