February 23, 2020For being my first handpainted russian markings they came out ok... yet I´m not completely satisfied, but it will do 🙂9

March 5, 2020Initial weathering was applied using oils to enhance contrasts15
March 5, 202016
March 5, 2020the fenders recieved some brown oil-dots which I then blended using stippling motions17
March 5, 2020Before mounting the wheels I used the specklng technique and two different mud effects to give at least the illusion of textured dirt.18
March 5, 2020Around the turret ring I specificially painted some paint-spills to further enhance the illusion of the markings being painted in the field19

March 5, 2020Then I used a dark pinwash to give some more depth to the model. At this point, the cast turret sides really start to stand out.23

March 5, 2020Well well... now we need some scratches to make it a "real" T-34 🙂30
March 7, 2020Finished some scratches using a two stage chipping method and a very fine brush.31
March 7, 202032
March 7, 202033
March 7, 2020Now we need some nice rust on the exhaust as well as some dust, dirt and grease on the fenders an engine deck.34
March 7, 202035
March 7, 2020I´m planning to attach only two of the three fuel drums and to make the vehicle more unique with some baggage and a very Russian log on the right side 😉36
March 9, 2020I put some rainmarks as well as some mud over the lower parts of the vehicle37
March 9, 202038
March 9, 2020I the end I decided to only add one fuel drum, but there will be other accessories39
March 9, 202040
March 9, 2020Tracks are nearly finished now. Just some light polished steel parts remain to be added41
March 9, 2020The rear deck will recieve some spills of oil/fuel. There will be leaks on the fenders where the fuel drums formerly sat.42
March 9, 2020I used Millipuut to create a bag that will be fitted to the side of the tank. Additionally, I found a spare unditching log and painted it up to take the place of the two fuel drums on the right side43

See the projects description for some thoughts of mine on this one 🙂
Btw, some might find that there is a real vehicle I used as a loose inspiration for the inscriptions, however I made mine way more gnarly and field-apllied-ish... if you can call it that way.
