MetalEarth ECTO-1 Ghostbusters Wagon

OK - Taking a break from the De Lorean - reorganise my desk accordingly - MetalEarth tools at the ready

Oh dear - this is going to involve A LOT of very small parts 

and more - all the "stuff" that goes on the roof rack , I guess

Some close ups of making ONE of these parts - rolled the part around a 3.2mm rod - used small cable ties to help hold that pose & allow for the pin inside to be secured, by way of a "pick" down the barrel! - finished off the job by seating the part with the rod inside in the "Small Shop" Rolling Set plate. Voila! 

Building the roof rack

Rear bumper very tricky, requiring more work than one of the bends could cope with - it separated.
Time for some CA 

Two light bars for the roof 

created a rough template for the bumper bend - worked well 

Making the wheels - thanks to 'The Small Shop' for the perfect dowel size!! 

All the wheels done, and attached to "axles" 

Not the prettiest of "faces" - This was very hard to assemble!! 

First idea of the size of this model?!?!?!

Door handle are insanely small, but they look good, especially in place. 

LHS panels and bonnet built 

RHS panels built - I've been reenforcing these with CA 

Panels and bonnet mated to roof - this is a very flimsy setup

rear end with taillights became a bit of a mess - not happy with this, but you onl;y get ONE shot. 

Attached the rear bumper, and it split under the stress - bugger 

Starting on the extra "furniture" attachment 

All of the upper accessories have been installed - they hide a lot of the dodgy bits 

and from the LHS - again, I have CA glued most of the pieces due to the flimsy nature of this model. 

The Big Merger - 10 PE pins to go into 10 PE slots along each side. 

Takes a bit of persuasion, coercion, pleading....coffee!! 

The end result is OK........from a distance!! Not impressed with the way in which this builds up - there's no internal structure, accentuating the flimsy nature of this model - that said, I'm sure it would "COMPACT" well, should I get the urge.
Disappointed with this attempt, but wont be trying any MetalEarth like this again. Will take it to Tuesday club meet then Chris' shop for display - if he wants it!!!
