Daughter Project #2 - First Paint & Glue

I've never built an Airfix kit before. I have to say, I'm impressed at how solid the plastic is in this kit. Not sure if that's because it's considered a starter kit for kids with clumsy hands or if they are all this way.  

My daughter is slowly getting the hang of painting. It's not like painting on paper, I keep telling her. It may still need another coat to cover more evenly. 

Wheel wells came out a little better with the paint. A bit of light sanding makes the paint adhere better. I think I like my Tamiya paints better than the Humbrol though.
