And it begins!
Crisply molded parts
This bag looks interesting. I like the tiny screws, spring in the back and, of course, that handy screwdriver!
Priming the motor before painting it silver
Engine brush painted silver and titanium silver after the prior priming step. One coat of Pledge to protect the paint. And look at the detail and quality of this tool. No sanding required except to rub out the leftover sprue. Ahhhhh the exquisite joy of working with a modern tool.
Bottom part of the motor brush painted aluminum and coated in two thinned coats of Matt Varnish to protect the paint and smooth the paint job.
Cylinder head covers superglued on and quickly positioned before they dried. One coat of Pledge for protection.
I translate the colors listed in the manual (in this case, Tamiya) to their Vallejo equivalent or whatever replacement color I'll use. I'm a Vallejo guy. Love the way their acrylics work.
Stretching the throttle cables to straighten them out from their corkscrewed packaging
Progress!
