Lotus 78 Monaco 1978 Andretti
Done and done.
Gunnar Nilssons Belgium 1977 winner and Andrettis 1978 Monaco challenger.
Tyres on...
Inching closer to the finish line. Sides are on. Good ol Tabu included 3 different Johns for the sides and on their diagram, totally called for the wrong one!
Been able to move out of the shitter and back into the proper modelling room, maybe i'll actually finish this one.
Got the markings going. Come to find out you can't use hot water with Tabu decals....damn things curl right off the paper.....not good.
Look what finally came out the other side of the wormhole!!! Just sitting there. That counter was completely uncluttered when that piece entered the wormhole......and a week later, there it was! Incredible.
Engine is finished. I tried getting some tubing to connect the brake ducts to the brakes but it looked awful. Maybe a 3D project for someone; that little hose.
Anyone who is going to build this kit, know this: the center pieces for the exhausts DO NOT reach both ends of the rest of the exhaust assembly. Better off correcting that with some brass tubing.
Bad tools get spiked. Trying to place a PE piece I heard the magical, "ping!" as the f'n things pinched and launched the piece into oblivion ( seriously! I never heard it land!) And that was the end of those tweezers.
I built this many years ago.....the entire thing sways to the right.....plus the exhaust gaps
.....forgot the cam cover markings
This is the work bench in August in the desert. The normal room is just too hot, where as the shitter is nice and cool.
Those horrible center exhaust pieces. Even the "good" ones came out poorly. Either way, none of them fit properly.
