I think taht is not necessary because both kits are nearly the same. Only the box is different and the decals. The Foose C7 kit is pre-decorated so he had to repaint is, whether he took this kit. Basically it is no problem. The used paint can be removed easily.
But when you take a closer look to the box art you'll notice, that he used the rims of the regular kit of the C7. The issue of Chip Foose's C7 has other rims. The rest of the parts is identically.
The content / connected kits to a project does not mean, that those kits are bashed together. It could also be, that the second kit will be built as a Grand Sport Replica too (there were a hand full diffrent colors for example) or he decided not to use this kit at all. When I plan a project, I'd lilnk all the kits to it, which are usable for my project. Which one I take at the end is another story. But the possibility to use them is given and connected to a project.
Not to mix the kits with this yellow C7 on the box (2014 Corvette Stingray (Revell 85-1982, 1:25), 2014 Corvette Stingray (Revell 07449, 1:25), 2014 Corvette Stingray (Revell 07825, 1:25)) Those kits are reduced in parts and have no engine at all. The hood is closed.

You're welcome!
It is a great kit. I built it three times and it fits very good together. I like it.

So actually... I bought the regular Stingray kit on Ebay, but when it arrived, it hadn't been accurately described. The hood had been painted, but more troubling was that it was missing a few important pieces. I couldn't find another one of those kits at the time (at least, fairly reasonably priced), but I found the Foose kit pretty inexpensive, so I bought that to replace the missing pieces. That's why it's a "kit bash."

I hate those sellers, which aren't honestly. Thank you for the clearifying 🙂
Another question: what color did you take? Is that the original color? It looks so amazing.

Actually, when I contacted the seller about it, he ended up refunding me completely for the item and didn't want it back, so honestly, it was a win. I am the inventory manager for a Chevy dealer in the Pittsburgh area, and I'd always wanted to order a C7 Corvette Grand Sport in the Admiral Blue with the Heritage Package (white center stripe and red hash marks) and the red interior. By the time I was able to do it, Admiral Blue had been replaced with Elkhart Lake Blue, which I don't think is as nice of a color. BUT, the beauty of car modeling is, I can make the car whatever I want, so I made a Stingray as close to that as I could. That Admiral Blue is an absolutely amazing color. I'm glad everyone is enjoying this build!

This color is so beautiful. In my opinion it is the first choice for the Grand Sport. This Heritage Stripes is (for me) a must have on it anyway. They look cool and on my point of view it is well placed (especially the hash marks).
That is what modeling is about: fullfill little drams of cars like "I" want them. So I painted a C1 in silver and it looks awesome.

The only times I paint models in the colour they 'should' be, is with racecars and the odd police car. The rest is fair game 😄
And that blue is stunning indeed!
