Regarding the panel and rivets work the Eduard kit is a good base.
Started with a very thin base coat with Tamiya Fine Surface Primer white. Then painted with Tamiya spray paint AS-30 Silver Leaf & TS-17 Gloss Aluminium on panel level.
After that I actually skipped the clear coat layer and went directly for decal application and weathering with Flory's Dark wash. This in order to get the weathering directly into the paint and accentuate the rivets.
After gentle polish with a soft paper cloth and cotton buds everything was then sealed with Tamiya Matt Varnish spray paint.

Update on the paint instruction above!
Seal with Tamiya semi-gloss or gloss varnish, not matt! With matt you will get a Aluminium dope effect instead 😉
