Album image #12
Progress so far. Decided to rescribe the upper cowling once again after doing the last pictures and after checking references which actualy show that the upper cowling panel lines are wrong in the kit after you attach the cowling in place.

Album image #13
Progress so far. Rescribed the nose again, added Master pitot, 50 and 30.cals smoothed out the surface with 2500 grit.

Album image #14
Added scratch seat framework. Still strugling with picture making. It looks better in real life than in the pictures.

Album image #15
Building the N2A gunsight and armor glass from scratch. The common misconception by the early P-40 is that the forward windshield had framework. It is actually the frames of the armored glass that cause this effect.

Album image #16
Added some glasswork and made the radio wiring from 0.13mm wire. Slowly moving to the priming stage.

Album image #17
Small update. Added some parts and masked and glued in the canopy.

Album image #18
Exchanged the wire rigging for mig 0.3 mm rigging line. The model is ready for priming

Album image #19
Model is primed. Some touch up and correction needed but nothing serious.

Album image #20
Tamiya neutral gray added to the undersides

Album image #21
Olive drab sprayed on. Used AK filters for both colors to give it a bit more worn look. Started with some minor chipping using Ak yellow zinc chromate and AK aluminium. Lost the rigging and windshield gunsight during the process, will add them back later.

Album image #22
Gloss coat, decals and exhausts added. Made chipping with ak metalic wax. After adding mr topcoat gloss it dissapeared.Neded to touch it up. Need to work on making better pictures as the model is actually more lighter tone after the applied filters
