I think masking it was a good idea. The transitions on the real tank don't look that soft to me.

Thank you both 🙂 As I finally had some time for a painting session again, I managed to finish the Marder. Now it is kind of dirty, but I´m happy with that result

Building the Marder 1A3 from Revell out of the box. I an still puzzled wether the camo schme of modern BW vehicles is best done with masking or free hand... Anyway I decided to proceed with my masked of result although I am not 100% sure about the quality. Hopefully the weathering will make it all come together 🙂
