The one that is further along is now the one I learn all the pitfalls on so as to complete the 2nd one better. The first one will probably get weathered at some point ( he said).

Apparently, Tamiya ( and Hasegawa) had'nt discovered precut mask technology when these early 90s kits were released. I found an aftermarket set on the interwebs but I didn't feel like waiting for them to cross the Atlantic, so..... If the cavemen could mask by hand with tape, damnit, so could I! Spent the entire afternoon fitting and trimming. My masks didn't come out perfect but good enough.
