Jan, I noticed a lot of these are in wishlists and stashes, yet no one has completed one yet. I thought I'd give it a go.

Thanks for that. I guess most still have the traumas from trying to tackle the eastern express kits and the like of yesteryear😄
From what I see this is a very nice kit 👍🏻

Yes, Jan, there's very little flash and the only ejector pin marks I've found that need work are the ones on the bulkhead. I've even stood the bulkhead loosely in place on the chassis and fitted the body over the top to test the fit. It went together first time, no problem. The worst part so far has been getting the very long thin parts off the sprue without damaging them: eight connection points each!

Kathleena, I think it was based on the Ford Model A. This car was also the basis for many a rat rod!

There are very few good photos or videos of these on the net. I'm convinced that a lot of the one's I have seen are replicas and therefore not reliable sources, e.g. the one used for my project photo had quite a few differences from the kit (rivetting below the side doors, headlight position, size of the tool box on the running board). Interior shots are scarcer still. The best I've found is a Youtube video where someone shoves his selfie stick through the netting across the doorway.

I fund a kit like this in a second hand shop last weekend
But its older and by dragon
So it will be interesting to see the difference
But thanks for all the interesting info
Cool kit
And excellent work
I will definitely have to keep an eye on your build

Thanks, Jv. There have been several kits of the BA-20 over the years. I hope you enjoy seeing it all come together.

If I have any complaints about this kit, it's the following:
1 - Half of the interior is missing (MG ammo & stowage, decent foot pedals).
2 - The headlight parts are badly designed. It would be much better if there was a greater contact area between the two parts of plastic!
3 - Fix the dashboard to the inside of the hull top, not to the bulkhead.
4 - The oil filler (?) on the engine block needs a better method of mounting.
5 - Certain parts on the chassis are very fragile and don't have great methods of mounting in place (glaring hard at part B33 here).
Overall, though, I'm quite happy with the kit and the way it's turned out.
