Nostalgia. The result is very nice.

Looks great. Those older Tamiya kits were basic but fun. As an aside, any idea where one can find a replacement gear box? I have a Tamiya T34/76 that needs one. I'm not even sure if they were all pretty much the same.

Bob, not sure myself. Haven't seen a motorized Tamiya in years, but maybe you could adapt a Trumpeter one? Some of their older kits have one but not sure if it would fit.

@Bob the kit I'm restoring is actually a copy (with motor added) of Tamiya from a company called C.C LEE.
I have seen couple motorized T-34 and Jagdpanther kits listed in my local ads but that was long time ago!

Album info

This is the my second model kit I did back 1997/98.

Parts were cut with nail cliopper, and glued the model using UHU super glue, decals were taped on the body as I didn't know how water transfer decals work .. it was never painted of course. I remember that my dad helped me assmebling and attaching the inlcluded motor.

Now it's time to refresh the model; I will try to fix assembly flaws, and then paint it using national guard 3-tone camo that can help hiding naive mistakes.

Primer: Light Gray Tamiya LP-34

Base: Citron. Mix of:
7 parts Lemon Yellow (Tamiya X-8)
5 parts Park Green (Tamiya x-28)
4 parts Flat Black (Tamiya XF-1)
3 parts White (Tamiya X-2)
