Another great model from you Scott. That Sherman looks like its been in a sand storm. Very nicely done.

Any chance you could explain how you pulled off the ultra-realistic weathering? That is amazing. Looks like it got left in the airport parking lot in Tobruk for six months

After base coats and decals, I use oils but thinned right down with some vms oil expert to decrease drying time. Multiple colours all over and then just blend them out. Add some sand rain dew speaking on vertical surfaces. A little very light sand was into crevices, wet surface with thinners and tap on bundles of pigment that quickly absorbs the thinners and add a few drops more if it's still dry pigment to give 3D piles, leave dry overnight and lightly brush, as the thinners is not as strong as a resin binder some will crumble off.
Tracks get acrylic was then while still wet pigmentsadded for colour and bulk, run through fingers next day to take off raised surfaces
That's about it

I'm always amazed with the quality and amount of Great models you pull out. Beautiful as always 👍 oh do they deserve a base... But that's another history we've talked about earlier🙁
P.s. thx for sharing your Technics

I've just inherited 2 collections, so have 2 years w9rth of touch ups to do to integrate into my collection, I only accepted stuff im into and was in stash. As well as my own to put a dint into. Nect up a new cab8nst. Last build was for guy at coffee shop, I've been researching it's uncles KIA in Normandy, the family didn't have much info, beyond Churchill driver, date of action and burial sites. Was a great little project and made him the old Tamiya kit I had in stash. Very emotional recipient.
Happy to share, peo0le have been very generous over the journey with their time, knowledge etc, it's touching people ask
