The M46 Patton might in fact be considered the first American MBT, although it was at it´s core an in-depth modernisation of the WW2 M26 Pershing. It had been quickly realized that the M26 was underpowered and lacked the mobility wanted by the Army for their main-line tank. Thus first prototypes designated M26E2 were built in 1946 with the vehicles entering service in 1949 - just in time for the Korean War. It formed the basis for the M47 Patton II that itself got quickly replaced by the M48.
I wwanted to do a largely OOB-build, but decided to add some variety by moving the .50 to the turret front and adding a .30 as well as some partly 3D-printed stowage.
