Another project to show that I might in fact be able to do an aircraft-model... Watching a good bit of naval history and videos regarding aircraft carriers, I really gained an appreciation for the pivotal capability that is AEW. The US Navy consistently kept this capability usingpurpose-built aircraft since the E-1 Tracer entered service in 1955 and since the 60s the E-2 Hawkeye became the carrierborne AEW-mainstay which it still is globally.
Revell´s 2016 re-release of their previous model is overall quite nice and has one decal option for an airframe based on the USS Constellation in the mid-90s, at which points the 4-bladed props were used instead of the newer NP2000 8-blade ones. Still, I will add some aftermarket to first of all represent something not included as an option in the kit - folded wings. Additionally I figured I may just addd some cockpit-upgrades an an opened section of the system operators cabin near the mid of the fuselage. The end result will likely be presented on a simple carrier-deck base with mybe a figure or twof or scale.
