Volvo 850 Estate BTCC

Building OOB with replacement Shunko decals - light blue of the body needs to be painted (originally these were decals).

- Primed with Tamiya Fine Surface primer
- Painted with Tamiya TS-26 white and Mr Hobby Lacquers for light blue
- Clear coated with Mr Hobby C-46 Clear
- Used Mr Hobby PS275 Trigger Airbrush
- Interior painted with Tamiya acrylics
- Used replacement Studio 27 decals
- Polished body with micromesh pads up to 12,000 and Tamiya Fine polishing compound.

Another iconic touring car, kit went together very nicely and was a quick build for me (<3 months). Love the stance of this car.

No major issues, masking the body for light blue was painful. Used the original decals as templates but still had to touch up some areas and paint lines could be a little cleaner. Used Microset and MicroSol for decals with no heat, but still experienced some minor tearing and the window edging is very thin.

Overall, very happy with the result for "legacy" kit.
