Masking done 

Happy with the rear 

 

Bit of bleed in front of the windscreen. Touch up or remove the stripes from this bit? 

Happy with the masking on the side stripes 

 

Went with a blue grey after being unhappy with my oranges and yellows. Wasn’t going to risk it 

 

 

 

Added a vinyl roof from masking tape 

Tools for the vinyl roof. A steel rule, sharp knife and some black masking tape 

This is the masking tape I used. I am sure there are others that will work as well 

It already has a nice texture to it 

I needed to make it a little narrower hence the rule. Then place it centrally on the roof with overlap on front and back 

Using a blunt tool press the edges into the ridges that define the windows / chrome trim. Then using that as a guide cut off the excess 

When trimmed you get the centre piece done 

Add one of the sides. The overlap represents what is seen on the original. Keep this uniform 

Add some cuts to make it easier to make the tape confirm to the curves 

Then press in and cut as per the centre section. I didn’t follow the correct line on the rear pillar. 

It should have been nearer the glass.
I have removed the tape and would start again
