The Leopard 1 is well known and was Germany´s first indigenous MBT after WWII. Tracing its roots back to concepts made in the 1950s, the tank went into full production and service in the 60s and has seen widespread service with many nations since. The Leopard 1A5 was the last major German variant and served until the early 2000s. It is still in service in several countries around the world.

Being a pretty obvious choice of subject for any modeller with an interest in modern and Cold War armour, I had to build a good Leopard 1 some time. After stumbling over one of the Revell 1/72 kits, I aquired photoetch to improve everything a little and am eager to start on the project...
