What colors did you use for the camo? I was planing to build the ASLAV-PC Phase 3 from Trumpeter in the future but not sure if the colors that Trumpeter provides are correct.

I will check for you, I often use the mouse house paints but they aren't trading at the moment. I have sometimes mixed my own for the Aussie green and the tan I normally base on Tamiya flesh with some tan. I'll check my notes. Check my other Aussie castoff you will see the colours I speak of, should be this and 1/16 leopard and a m-548 Tillie in this scheme in recent times.

Nice work Scott. Sorry to get a tad off topic, but can you remember if it was a Leopard that stared in the 1980's (???) Australian Army Reserve advert - the one where the weekend warriors catch a yabbie* during a creek crossing? Your work reminded me about that TV spot and it's bugging me because I couldn't find it on YouTube. Funny what sticks in your mind from your younger days (gawd I sound like I'm 90)!!!
* it's a freshwater lobster

Don't remember the add per se, but would be surprised if it was not a leopard. Centurion. Gone by then and the reserved adds all had the latest toys even if reserves didn't use them. I recall them showing repelling from helo's and not to many would even see a chopper. I never knew anything except yabbies, quenslander so always called that.

Maybe one of the other Skippys on this site might remember that advert - Kezza???
I'm from Perth originally (so we had marron, not yabbies or redcraw). I saw your comment on your M577 post, were you serving when the Reservists from the 10th Light (sea) Horse sunk a couple of M113s in the Swan River? One of my mates from Uni was in command when he managed to get swamped by a small wave - very funny story!

Infantry 81-85
Commissioned
Cave 86 - 90
Arty 91 - present, though instruct now, moved after being BC
Broke the odd 113 in my time, final drive on one, rolled one, oil instead of diesel on night replen.

Very good build! Interesting to see that the Australian army also uses the German MG 3.
