Scalemates Messerschmitt Bf 109 Group build 2020

First things first ,,,, cockpit has been painted in RLM66 ... Tamiya XF-63 

Pedal straps made in lead foil from a bottle of wine 

All things glued together and some flat aluminium Tamiya XF-16 dry brushing 

Fuselage halves being painted 

 

Finished coskpit bar seat belts and instrument panel

Fuselage halves glued together 

This is the only gap to be filled so far ... but it could be my fault 

A sliver of the thinnest plasticard I could find (0,1 mm) in my stock 

Checking 

Now is perfect 

Wings being glued to the fuelage 

 

I used and old Gunze H68 (RLM74) tin and it the paint reacted with the new paint H417 (RLM76) wihci I used as primer,,, it seems Gunze changed the formula some time ago. 

 

I used and old decal sheet from ESCI and it was a complete disater .... even tgouhg decals were protected with Micro Decal Film ,,,, broke aprat in the edges .... lots asn lots of PVA gkue were used to stick the decals to the wings 

On the other side , decals from AZ models kit are superb (devil inb the nose and Italian flags) 

Complete disater ... ARRGGGG !!!! Also the whit backgroung is not correct ..... ther should be the fascios and the black square 

 

PE seat belts addes to the cockpit 

Canopy is cristal clear and frames are very well defined ,,, so I could paint them by hand ,,, no masking was used 

 

Antennae was added with the hekp of my next project ,,,, 1/24 Porsche 917 K from Heller ,,,, this is the engine 

 

FINISHED on 2020 by the skin on my teeth ,,,,, .. Not one of my best efforts ,,, but calling it done anyway.
