Album info
Kokomo, a small Colorado mining town, once existed just below the east crest of Fremont Pass. An early photograph of the town revealed this small house. Like many log structures of the period, this building has its facade sheathed with siding to provide a more finished appearance. The house appears not to have been painted, but it was common practice to paint only the finished facade and allow the log portions to weather naturally.
