Flettner Fl 282 "Kolibri"
RS Models 1/72 + Academy Opel Blitz Tankwagen

Early helicopters and autgyros are an interesting topic with a bunch of unique subjects. The Flettner Fl 282 "Kolibri" was a samll aircraft built in Germany during WW2 using a design with two intermeshing rotors based on experience with the earlier FL 265 and others. Intended users were the Army and also the Navy with applications from ships and submarines being envisioned. Production bottlenecks did however prevent any grandiose plans with only a tad above 20 examples produced.
I will build the RS Models 1/72 kit, which may require some homemade detail up to really improve the look of the well visible tubular frame and interior components. Academy´s Opel Blitz Tankwagen will complete a little vignette preparing a "Kolibri" for a test flight.
