YT-1300 Millennium Falcon (star wars)
Yorumlar
thanks. It's only the first fase of the model, so there's not yet much to see on it. Feel free to give me any advise or comments.
Do you have to apply a lot of decals on it? Btw, your work looks more professional than mine, so i´m going to ask for some advises in the future? 🙂
the primer (panzer grey+black) were Vallejo Model Air acrylics
the sky grey and White are Tamiya (XF...) acrylics
There a huge stack of decals in the kit. Also quite a large amount of panels are covered with decals. I wanted to handpaint them first but I am not sure I will. Still doubting about that.
Aaaaa, the ship that alegedly made the "Kessel Run in less than twelve Parsecs" - Nice Kit.
added another paint layer on the Millennium after having taken the pics. This will make the overall image lean more towards the 'whitish' aspect of the actual model which has been used in the star wars movies. Used a mix of Tamiya white (xf01) 90% and Tamiya J.N. Grey (xf12 I think) 10%. The latter will dim the harsh white a bit. Result is looking good.
Next step will be a layer of gloss or satin varnish, in order to apply the decals I mentioned before (I just decided to use them instead of painting the concerned panels, we'll see how it comes out).
Sounds good to me! I thought about it yesterday and i would have taken the decals, too!
Nice build. I would like to se your topic on the build of this machine..
May the force be with you 😛
Ok, just finished it after 5 months of sweat&tears and a lot of layers (see images in my photo album + summary of the different modelling phases)
This One is absolutely amazing!! Awesome job Peter, congrats!!!
A big, nasty, dirty and battledamaged falcon! I love it, Peter! All that coloures and shadings, just beautiful!😢 You can look at it for hours and hours!
Well done Peter. I like the paintjob, all those different panelcolours and the weathering is also very fine and balanced! I like it!

Wow! I don't build sci-fi kits, but I have to admit this is an amazing job of weathering and creating battle damage. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Great looking Falcon! "It may not look like much, but it's got it where it counts kid!" Nice battle damage form Ep. V chase!

Great job. I could never bring myself to spend close to $300 on that kit, but I do think they look great when done up right.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments that you all have sent me by mail and other platforms !!! Very hartwarming and inspiring.
