Upgraded Esci Kit in MERDC Desert Camo

The M48 Patton was the successor of the M46 and M47 Patton series, being developed after previous MBT-projects (T42) did not come to fruitition. Although being sheduled for replacement with the M60 series and later the M1 Abrams, the tank was kept in service for much of the later half of the 20th century being extensively upgraded. The A5-variant brought the vehicle up to M60 standard with the 105mm M68 as well as new FCS elements and engine upgrades.

The kit used will be the old (older than me) Esci kit in 1/72 scale upgraded with an OKB track and running gear-set as well as PE. The build is meant to be a challenge to my painting skills, as the MERDC camouflage is rather complex.
