So, this is as far as I got earlier in the year. I wasn't happy with the "chrome" finish and put the project on hold while I looked for a better alternative. 

Now I have both Molotow Liquid Chrome and Spaz Stix Chrome to try out. 

The bathtub interior should have an almost mirror-like finish according to the photos of the real car.
