Build Photos: Soltic H8 Round Facer Hang Glider Equipment Type

After waiting one and a half years for this kit, it has finally arrived and I'm ready to get into it! 

All the parts, love the wings 

This little guy started off as a piece of white plastic. I first painted his face and hands with Vallejo Flat Flesh and then put him in a grey-blue suit. Accented his shoulders with Clear Orange. Helmet and boots in grey. Panel lined him in black (brown for the face) and then many layers of Vallejo Matt Varnish to dull out the suit but shined the helmet and boots with Vallejo gloss.  

Robot built out for refinement 

Roughing up the legs with sandpaper and blade damage 

Scuffed up and dinged the model. Now it’s been washed and drying out in preparation for painting.  

Hang glider wings assembled

Robot assembled. Time for some decals and weathering.  

Decals applied. On to weathering.  

Brown wash painted on loosely but overall
