I've made a start on this one as well. I've cut both the stabilisers from the hull as they were way too thick.
This is a very crude kit, not like other kits from Schatton modellbau I have in my stash. The LMB mine is even worse, so I've binned it.

This is starting to be a fun project, adding details, trying to polish a turd

Added steering actuators, somewhat spurious as I have no detail pictures or drawings on the actual arrangement.

Only 3 prototypes were build, it never got behind the test phase.
All were destroyed at the end of the war.

After much trial and error I finally managed to get the red and white stripes on the canopy.

All done.
Fixed the model to a simple oak base.
I'm not content with the outcome, so it has found a place in the back of the cabinet 🙂

The result probably has more to do with the poor state of the original kit rather than your modelling abilities, so I think you've done well to get it looking as presentable as you have. The parts you have replaced and added are significantly better than the original kit part. It always intrigues me when you see these old machines in museums that the surfaces are very often as rough as old boots rather than the perfect finish we often try to achieve.
Also, macro is a complete git. A photo of that from a normal viewing distance would probably look good.

I agree with gorby! You're too harsh to yourself, Jan. You've done a fantastic job!
