Hi mates
I am undecided how to proceed with this model. The whole aircraft will be in Green Colour expect the Engines, these are in Silver. What do you recommend proceeding it further? Complete the Model and try to mask the already painted Engines and paint the Aircraft in Green or paint the Green parts of the Aircraft first in Green and glue it together afterwards. I am really unsure, any hint or Tipps are much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi. I'd assemble and paint as much wing as you can. It will be tricky to get good coverage on the underside with the engine in place. Then assemble and touch up. I'm not an expert though but that's how I'd approach it.

Hi Gary, thanks for your suggestion. Yes, this makes sense, furthermore I think especially the underside of the wings with the huge decals needs to be done before the assembly.

Yes agreed. Didn't spot the decals but yes at least you've got a plan now.

Gents, thank you again for the advice on the further processing of the wings and engines. After a long, long time I was able to finish the Potez. Unfortunately, I can hardly spend any time on the workbench at the moment and when I do, I'm finishing mostly models I started long ago, like this Potez. This one was meant to be a quick kit in between, but took quite a bit more time and work than expected. Adding the rigging almost caused the build to be abandoned, as the rigging dislodged the struts from their places and partially caused the engine and wing fuselage structure to collapse. Despite the simplicity of the kit, I like this exotic machine quite a bit, and I am satisfied with the result.

Many thanks for your kind words mates, much appreciated. Even if I sometimes almost thought of giving up, in the end it was worth it and one more exotic model in my showcase.

Grüezi !
Will you be doing the Amiot 143 next. You seem to like French planes of this era.

Bonjour Olivier!
After the MS 230 and the Potez 540, I tought I had temporary finished my trip to the French airplanes of this era. But I was not aware about the Breguet 693 in my stash 😄
My side trip to the French airplanes in this era comes from my local hobby store which has it always on stock. Sometimes on Saturdays I treat myself to a trip to the local hobby store and come home with something small. To appease my married government, usually something in the cheaper segment, that's better for later arguments. Since the different selection of kits available from stock became increasingly sparse, it went to the said models from French production 😄 I must say, however, that I increasingly like these aircraft with their own character. The Amiot 143 was not even on my radar, but is a good candidate for a new addition to my stash 😉

I suppose the kit was notvthe easiest base. I really like your model too. Good feeling to turn a shelf queen into something as presentable as your Potez, isn't it?

Indeed, the Kit is moulded in 1967 and has some issues, but overall I was surprised about the general quality which is not so bad. Especially the decals was nearly too thin but with my used decal softener, it looks really like painted. But yes, I really happy with the final result.
