Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 - 1988 RAC Rally

Using the chassis from the 1991 VR-4 100 lakes rally as the clear coat cracked and needs to be stripped.
- Primed with Tamiya Fine Surface primer
- Painted with Mr Color White and Tamiya LP-1 Black,
- Clear coated with Tamiya LP-9
- Using Iwata HP-CS airbrush.
- Interior painted with Tamiya acrylics

This has taken a long time to complete mainly due to the loss of mojo after the issues with the original body, luckily I had two in the stash.
Overall pleased with the model, I like the livery and I think it suits the basic theme of the car. Interior and underside came out well. Body has a few small defects, still haven't built up the courage to airbrush the window frames so they were completed prior to decaling and clearcoat so they are not as matt as they should be. Panel lines need to be deepened. Decals went on well with help from hairdryer and decal solution. Found the Mr Hobby decal Softener left some small stains on the black paint as I didn't wipe the excess off in time.

Typical Hasegawa build, not as good as Tamiya, but adds some nice touches like PE and the mud flaps.
