Jagdpanzer 38(t) - Late Production
Building Vepid´s 1/72 kit OOB

An "Out of the Box"-type build of Vespid´s recent Jagdpanzer 38(t) in 1/72nd scale. The kit is really crisply detailed and fits a late (ca. December 1944 onward) production vehicle rather well. Photoetch and in my case a metal barrel were included.
The construction is somewhat fiddly and great care is needed to avoid loosing parts or damaging them while removing them from the sprues. Fit is however good and I did barley need any filling. To prevent breaking them off, I remade some grabhandles with wire partially inserted into holes I drilled in the approximate locations.
As for the painting I will go with the hard-edge 3-tone option and all the challenge that proper masking and highlighting that will bring...
